It maintains a computerized record of all purchases and issues, and ensures materials are distributed on a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) basis.
The stores supply items such as notebooks, stationery, sports equipment, electrical goods, toiletries, and cleaning materials according to the needs of each unit. It also manages procurement and stitching of school uniforms, sportswear, dormitory dresses, shoes, and bags. During Ramadan, the stores organize the collection and distribution of fitra packets to underprivileged Muslim families in and around Chennai.
The store operations follow the principles of 5S to ensure optimal organization and maintenance.
The AHI Central Kitchen is vital in providing nutritious and hygienic meals to residential children three times a day. The balanced diet is prepared based on menus approved by the Kitchen Sub-Committee, with special diets provided to sick students as recommended by medical consultants.
The kitchen maintains strict hygiene standards, with staff wearing aprons, head covers, and gloves, and cleanliness overseen by the head cook. Donor-sponsored feasts are arranged for home residents during festive occasions.
Equipped with two RO plants for safe drinking water and a chapati machine capable of preparing 800 chapatis per hour, the kitchen is committed to serving wholesome meals with utmost care.
